When did you first become interested in art?

I have loved art in the form of drawing and painting since I was about 8 years old.

How would you describe your design style?

Simple and memorable.

What inspires you?

Nature inspires me. Other than that, work by fellow artists also inspired me sometimes.

What is your favourite piece in your collection?

One of my favorites is a piece called ‘Beverly’.

Is there any artistic talent in your family?

In my immediate family, not really 😉 but a cousin of mine has always inspired me and even taught me how to draw human figures when I was a child.

What is the journey you take to produce your work?

I usually start by drawing and putting together elements that will work together to form a color scheme/composition that will quickly appeal to the eye. Then I go about creating a design out of these elements digitally using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

What made you want to be a part of Art Rookie?

I think the fact that the art pieces I came across on the site were unique and had a very different style compared to standard artworks found on other Print-on-demand sites.

When you’re not creating masterpieces what do you enjoy doing?

Spending time with family: My darling husband, my 3 year old daughter and my 6 month old baby girl 🙂

Have you faced any struggles getting your work noticed?

I have been very lucky. Once I started posting designs on a regular basis, it didn’t take too much time to start getting noticed.

Where would we find you hanging out in the UK?

Warner brothers Studio – The Making of Harry Potter Tour (I’m a huge fan :))

What makes British talent different than elsewhere?

In my opinion, what sets British artists apart is sophistication and boldness.

What are your plans for 2017?

Expanding the reach of my art and seeing my baby girl say her first words!
