The seaside conjures memories of carefree childhoods - sand castle building, shell collecting, crabbing, ice creams, and of course good old fish and chips! The British coast is stunningly beautiful. Sometimes in an untouched way – blue green seas and soft sand flanked by wispy dunes, but also in an imperfect kind of way, which for me makes it all the more intriguing. Equal to the joy of a twinkling calm sea on a summer’s day is the undeniable pleasure of a bracing winter’s walk on a rugged pebble beach flanked by waves crashing against breakers – a chance to clear cobwebs and free the mind.
